Story
One in six people are, or will be, affected by a neurological disorder. Morwenna discovered that she was one of them earlier this year when she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour. In August she had surgery to remove the majority of the tumour - an operation that saved her sight - at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The National Brain Appeal helps to provide much-needed funds to support The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology – together known as Queen Square. It is one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. These include stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. Morwenna received incredible care from the doctors and nurses at the National Hospital so we're running the Hackney Half to raise money for the National Brain Appeal! Any money you can spare to support us will be massively appreciated!
