Thank you everyone for your support I finished a week ago (where has the time gone!). Read all about it on our blog http://coast-2-coast-run.posterous.com/
I had the most amazing time and enjoyed it all including the snow and rain! It's been a true pleasure to run for the Children's Adventure Farm Trust and it doesn't stop there, I'm running the Bupa Great Manchester Run for them too. Then I might have a little rest ;0)

Really enjoying my training but with two weeks till my first marathon can't say I'm not scared! Thanks for all your support!
This year The Children's Adventure Farm Trust is my charity of the year. A fabulous charity, proving holidays and activities for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the Northwest who rely solely on donations.
Ok, enough putting it off, you want to know what I'm going to do right? Well you have heard of a popular route called the Reivers Way? No? Ok, the coast to coast cycle? Ah yes that's the one! 180 miles from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Whitehaven - before you correct me yes that's the wrong way round! However, I haven't said yet what I'm doing.... I'm running! Over the course of 2 weeks during Easter 2012 I will be accompanied by only Mr Cake on his bike. There to keep my spirit up and refuel me. The plan is to run 15-20 miles a day with the odd rest day but keep an eye on my blog for more details.
So 2012 will be the year of the Olympics, bring it on, let's start it with a bang and show the world what we are made of!
So please dig deep and donate now. You can follow my training at http://thecakenest.co.uk/blog
Thank you
BUT FIRST! I'm going to be running the Gloucester Marathon on January 22nd 2012. Please use this page to sponsor me as it's all going to the same cause... I'm just seeing it as training! GULP!
And now i'm booked on to a week of Zumba finishing in a party!
....someone pick me up when i keel over!
