I did it!!!!!
5.37.13. I didn't run as well I'd hoped, but I ran as well as I possibly could on the day. Miles 1-8 were a sheer joy. I stopped for a wee at mile 10 (10 mins). Mile 16 is where it got tough. 18-22 were dark times. I doubted myself. I felt like a failure and could barely walk. I had no energy. So, I had some lucazade and thought a lot about the support and encouragement you've all shown me. Especially the Dames and my cheering squad Neil Riley, Matthew Griffiths & Charlie Levine I finished strong - 22-26.2 - and actually sprinted down The Mall. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS / IS GOING TO SPONSOR ME. Blitz Dames, HUH! xxxx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 26th April 2015 I will be running 26.2 miles to raise funds for SSAFA. For nearly thirty years my Dad has volunteered for SSAFA helping many ex-service men and women and their families and he's a pretty awesome guy. So I thought this might be a nice way to follow in his footsteps.
I've got the easy job, I've just got to turn up in my running shoes and put one foot in front of the other. You've got the hard job, you've got to dig deep into your pockets and give me all your juicy cash. Mmmmm, juicy cash. Whether it be pennies or pounds your donations will be most welcome.
