I have suffered for many many years with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, but in 2020 I deteriorated rapidly and was rushed into hospital where I spent nearly two months alone. I had life changing emergency open surgery to remove my bowel, which had me hours away from death. This disease nearly took my life and I still continue to suffer daily. I have had 5 surgeries since, but yet there’s still no sign of remission. My pain has given me a purpose to help and support others suffering this debilitating disease.
