Fundraising for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland
Story
I’ll be running the Glasgow 10k Winter Warmer run for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland a charity close to my heart. Since her second stroke last year my Gran has attended the Stroke Survivor Group at Shawhead Community Centre.
Right now, 1 in 5 of Scotland’s population is living with a chest, heart or stroke condition, including Long Covid.
Every day in Scotland…
- 25 people will have a stroke
- 30 people will have a heart attack
- 46 people will be diagnosed with heart failure
- 1 in 11 people will struggle to breathe because of chronic chest illness
CHSS believe there should be No Life Half Lived in Scotland. With your support, we can make sure people with chest, heart and stroke condition can do more than survive – they can really live.
