Caitlin McPherson is raising money for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland
Story
I’ll be running the Glasgow 10k Winter Warmer run for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland a charity close to my heart. Since her second stroke last year my Gran has attended the Stroke Survivor Group at Shawhead Community Centre.
Right now, 1 in 5 of Scotland’s population is living with a chest, heart or stroke condition, including Long Covid.
Every day in Scotland…
- 25 people will have a stroke
- 30 people will have a heart attack
- 46 people will be diagnosed with heart failure
- 1 in 11 people will struggle to breathe because of chronic chest illness
