Story
Waking
up with two dislocated shoulders after having a seizure in my sleep is never ideal;
in October 2014 I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Although it took time for me to
accept this neurological condition I was given help and support from family,
friends, specialist nurses and Epilepsy Scotland. Before I was diagnosed
with epilepsy I knew very little about the condition so I will be running the
Great Scottish Run 10k on the 4th October to help raise awareness
and funds for this very worth while charity who have provided advice, information
and support for myself and other people in Scotland who have epilepsy, their
families and carers.
“Caitlin, who is currently in her 4th year of an Events Management degree at the University of the West of Scotland hasn’t let her diagnoses of epilepsy get her down; in fact she has turned it into something positive and will participate in the Great Scottish run 10k with a group of her friends. By raising funds for Epilepsy she has become an inspiration to the 54,000 people in who live with epilepsy.” -Scott Barclay, Epilepsy
