Baldilocks and the Big Run: Cute and Curly to Bald and Burly
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
I've decided to do something crazy and run a marathon in April 2020.
I've decided to raise money for this crazy thing by SHAVING MY HEAD on 23rd November 2019.
Watching my mum lose her hair during chemo in 2010 broke my heart, it's such a stereotypical symbol of femininity and beauty and felt like a real loss. I offered to shave mine with her for support, but nobody at the time knew she was unwell. I've held off for 9 years.
I have so much hair and it's pretty distinctive. I'll be donating it to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who need them much more than me.
I'm not under the impression that I'm going to look good bald, or that a marathon is going to be easy; but I do know that Macmillan Cancer Support deserve the sweat, blood and tears (and hair) I'm going to give.
Please donate all you can.
Also the more you donate the less I can back out of being bald and out of breath.
