** Update! I have decided to add on a third day to the challenge and complete a 25km kayak back down the Thames! I'm hoping this addition to the challenge will help give my fundraising the push needed to reach my target.
* I have had to postpone the kayak due to injury from the walk but it will be happening asap! *
We are embarking on a gruelling yet ultimately rewarding adventure - the Thames Path Challenge.
On Saturday 9th September, I will be joined by 12 colleagues to set off from Putney Bridge, London, with a shared objective of walking the Thames towpath to Henley-on-Thames in 2 days. This incredible 100km route along the iconic Thames River is not just an adventure; it's an opportunity for us to continue raising awareness and significantly impacting mental health.
By participating in this challenge, we aim to raise vital funds for Student Minds, an organisation dedicated to supporting and improving the mental well-being of students across the country.
Student Mind's goal is to transform the state of student mental health so that all in higher education can thrive. They support students to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support their peers and create change. Student Minds also work collaboratively with institutions, students’ unions and other organisations involved in higher education, supporting them to take a whole-university approach to mental health.
I invite you to join us on this incredible journey by supporting our fundraising efforts for Student Minds. Your contribution, no matter how big or small can make a difference in the lives of students struggling with their mental health.
