Story
Hey, thanks for visiting!
I’m Cate. Even though I’ve always been an active person - rowing and weightlifting are my big passions - I have only dabbled in running. Simply, I am short and don’t like running alone!
That being said, in April 2023, I will be tying up my laces and running 26.2 gruelling miles alongside thousands of others taking part in the London Marathon.
Why? To help raise funds and awareness for Guide Dogs UK. Like many other charities, they have been hit hard throughout the pandemic, resulting in a 2-year delay for the availability of dogs for blind or partially sighted people in the UK. On top of this, the training of a dog from birth to retirement is over £55,000 - so every penny is vital.
Knowing that we can make a difference to people with sight loss (coupled with a love for dogs!) makes the charity a more than worthy cause, in my opinion!
Please, please consider donating as much as you are able - I promise to keep you all updated with sweaty training photos!
