Story

Welcome to the Nottingham Trent takes on the Three Peaks Challenge! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

I am a student at NTU and I love to get involved and give myself a challenge! Over the past 18 months I have hiked Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - but I have undertaken the challenge of hiking all three within 36 hours…

In summer 2022 I hiked the Salkantay Trek in Peru, raising £3,100 for MRF! I thoroughly enjoyed fundraising and found it so rewarding so I have decided to do it again…! However, this year I am a ‘Challenge Leader’, meaning it’s my role to recruit loads of others wanting to participate in this challenge and I have extra responsibility especially during the trek build up.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
