Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 31st of August, we will be cycling on turbo trainers for twelve hours straight to raise money for Mind - this charity does amazing work helping people, so that they never have to face a mental health problem alone. Mental health is a subject that is quite often difficult for people to talk about, and is therefore overlooked by many, or reduced to a matter of unimportance, even though it effects a quarter of the population; as such, many people who face these battles can often feel alone and isolated. However, Mind is there to help them; their effort is particularly important right now, given the effects of Covid-19, which have caused unimaginable damage to peoples’ mental well-being. Despite their undeniable importance, Mind has been one of the many charities who have suffered from reduced funding (Again due to Corona virus), so any and all donations will make a positive change and are massively appreciated.
We decided to take on this challenge as, during quarantine, we have both become keen cyclists, and wanted to use our hobby to help others. Given the fact that exercise is a great way to improve not only your physical health, but also your mental wellbeing, it seemed fitting that we supported Mind.
Although it will be both a physical and mental challenge, we hope to be able to (somewhat) enjoy it!
