Story
Hello and welcome. I’m swimming quite quickly (for over an hour) and fairly far (2,253 metres) from Bournemouth to Boscombe to celebrate my new life by the coast and to help fund the British Heart Foundation’s life saving work.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like YOU that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. Go you!
£24 (that’s 94p per 100 metres) could pay for two hours of scientific research, but anything you can chip in will help make waves towards my target. Enough grains of sand make a beach!
This is my first time racing in the British sea and I have scyphophobia (fear of jellyfish) so your cash will give me a big boost and a bit of ‘pier pressure’ to keep going if I encounter an evil bag.
So hit that donate button and let’s pretend it’s pay day!
You’re the best!
