Story
Monday 21st is the beginning of Christmas week! My mum’s favourite time of year!!! Sadly she isn’t here to enjoy it with us because on April 4th 2019 my mum died from cancer. This cruel illness effects 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men. That’s half of all mums, sisters, daughters and third of all dads, brothers and sons. Marie Curie is a major UK Cancer charity, sadly only half of their funding comes from the NHS, and the other half is funded by people like you. Without your help research stops, palliative care for people like my mum, counselling services to support patients and help grieving families would stop.
In honour of my mum Sandra and her love of Christmas I will be streaming for 24 hours on my Facebook page. I encourage you all to donate what you can. But don’t worry if you can’t by sharing my stream and just giving page you are helping spread our message.
Our aim is £200 which is enough to pay for nine hours of nursing support in someone’s home overnight. Providing expert care for those with the disease and allowing families to rest. All money raised will go directly to Marie Currie, and I will post the final sum raised.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and your support.
Paul
