Story

Dear friends & family,

On 12 June 2015, #TeamCahill will swim 2-miles each in the chilly 11°C waters of Lake Windermere in the Lake District for Wings for Life.

As many of you know, last year our close friend Jack Fishwick sustained a serious spinal cord injury playing rugby for Wimbledon RFC. His bravery and determination never fails to amaze us as he continues to get back to normality - in his words, "same life, different challenge".

We would like to help Jack and others like him by raising money for Wings for Life, an international not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation whose mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injury. We are living in an exciting era - neuroscientists agree that injured nerve cells in the spinal cord are capable of regeneration and the ability to rescue, reactivate, and rewire spinal systems to restore function after spinal cord injury might soon be within reach.

Promoting further advancement in spinal cord research is therefore really important if we are going to find a cure, and we would really appreciate your help in supporting this great organisation by making a donation. 100% of your donation goes directly to spinal cord research.

Thank you for your support!
