CAFOD is combining efforts with the DEC to launch the Afghanistan Crisis Appeal. In Afghanistan, 8 million people are on the brink of famine because of drought, collapsing economy, food shortages, conflict, and COVID.

Story

Once again St Laurence's Church in Cambridge, is getting its walking boots on .... this time we are walking virtually to Afghanistan in support of CAFOD’s ‘Walk against Hunger’.

Afghan families are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance: food, water and shelter. Over half the country’s population – around 22.8 million people – are facing acute hunger with more than eight million people on the brink of famine, with a million children under the age of five at risk of dying over the next three months.

We can’t just sit here and do nothing, knowing people face such difficulties? It is once again time for us to us to dream big and to act, to show solidarity with those less fortunate than us.

Can we make it ? All the way to Afghanistan?

  Let us dream big -

we are aiming to raise £5,000!

EVERY STEP WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE - EVERY POUND WILL HELP TO PROVIDE FOOD, WATER and SHELTER!
Please support us today!
