Story
The CAFOD Carol Service has been a part of the Archdiocese of Liverpool for over 30 years with St John Rigby College playing a big part in it over the decades.
This year, St John Rigby College, St Peter's High School, St Edmund Arrowsmith High School, Our Lady Queen of Peace High School, St Teresa's Primary School and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary (Zambia) are joining forces.
There will also be a talk from Tom Delamere, a CAFOD worker in South Sudan.
We are fundraising for CAFOD this advent to support people like Nomita. Nomita is a remarkable person. Raising her children alone in Bangladesh, she somehow manages to feed and educate them through farming a little strip of land. Although their home is a single room, her daughter Sonia says there is happiness among us and good cooperation. But this calm is precarious, since they live on the frontline of climate change.Did you know:£7 can provide a family with rice seeds that will grow in salty water£26 can buy ten ducks that are hardy to local diseases£52 can teach someone a trade, like tailoring or mechanicsPlease support our fundraising if you can so that we can support people like Nomita.Thank you.
