Story
Bristol's Oldest Coffee House have a team running the 2014 Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 21st September in aid of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society. This fantastic charity provides support to those inflicted with, and engages into research into, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Diagnosing Rheumatoid Arthritis early can prevent it from taking hold and becoming a debilitating condition, but if it does the NRAS are there for you.
Mark Rind, Cafe Revival's owner has this to say: "My sister, athletic and sporty all her life (unlike me!) started in her late twenties noticing swelling on her joints after exercising or repetitive use. Then at the age of only 30 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a potentially disabling condition that has no cure. This horrible condition could see my sister, sporty all her life so far, with crippled joints and ultimately confined to a wheelchair. Luckily for #formysister it has been diagnosed early and there is every hope that with good management and ground breaking drugs that ultimate ending will never occur. The NRAS help and support those people suffering from this chronic condition and contribute the progression of medical understanding and treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis. So....this is why we've been raising cash for this fantastic small charity....please dig deep and donate if you can...."
