On Sunday 30th October I will be cycling 300 miles around the Caerleon one-way system to raise money for this year's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

During July this year, a number of us cycled in Belgium where we visited the graves of three brave young men from Caerleon who paid the ultimate sacrifice in World War 1.

These men were Private Percy J Scannell, Private William H Wollan and Private Edgar Morgan.

As a mark of respect to all that did not return, I am going to cycle the distance between Caerleon and the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres during 24 hours.

I'll be starting at 11am so please give me a shout and a wave.
