Story
I went for a walk at Half Moon Bay at Heysham with my family last Sunday evening (24th June) and we found ourselves as one of first ones on site, attending 8year old boy who fallen down 40ft cliff on rocks. Charlie has been taken by an Air ambulance to hospital in Liverpool but he suffered serious trauma to his head, neck and spine.
His parents reported that He is recovering from his injuries well.
I’ve been rather overwhelmed by this experience and feel that I would like to do something for the NWAA.
My self, Chris Mackey, Dan Hirst and Lewis Hancock undertaking Yorkshire 3 Peaks to raise funds for NWAA following this event.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks are situated in the yorkshire Dales and the challenge consists walking 25 miles while climbing the summit of Pen-y-ghent (694 m; 2,227 ft), Whernside (736 m; 2,415 ft) and Inglebotough (723 m; 2,372 ft) in less than 12 hours.
The air ambulance is funded entirely by the generosity of the public through donations, fundraising activity, lottery membership and through their network of retail outlets, who provide vital charitable funding to keep the service flying.
This event is fully supported by Charlie’s parents.
