My father was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in late 2009, he then went through a gruelling year of vigorous Chemotherepy, Radiotherapy, then an operation to remove what was left of the tumour. Because of the operation he then temporarily had to wear a stoma.

Since then he is now making a full recovery thanks to the excellent treatments and medical help he was receiving.

At some point in our lives we may have a relative or friend that has been effected with cancer in some form or other.

I have decided to do a Coast to Coast Cycle ride for charity and raise money towards Bowel Cancer research which has helped my father and hopefully other people to come.

Myself (Anthony Greentree) and Martin King-Sheard will be cycling the 165+ miles over 2 days 27th-28th June, 2011. My father Jim Greentree (who has made a full recovery) will be on hand as back up to make sure we reach each check point.

I will take photos along the way as proof of my quest and hopefully raise some money towards this horrible disease!!
