We provide performance disabled snowsports to serving and veteran military personnel

Story

Personnel from ATR Winchester are taking on the Toughest Footrace on Earth to support The Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (Formally the CSDST). The charity offer recovery pathways through competitive Snowsports for disabled service personnel.

AFPST is a charitable organisation which uses skiing to rehabilitate those serving and retired service personnel who have been injured during their military service. The team was started in early 2008 by Maj Ian Large, an ex-Combined Services Alpine Team Captain, who saw the potential for otherwise fit young men and women to enter the realm of adaptive skiing and ultimately for some to represent their country in the Winter Paralympics

Recruits and Permanent Staff from C Squadron are in a 4 week competition with the other Squadrons (HQ, A and B) within the regiment to raise as much money as possible. We will be using imaginative and innovative activities to out manoeuvre our competition and WIN!!!. Over the next few weeks we will be putting our hearts and souls into generating as much funds as we can to make a real difference to wounded servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much for the rest of us.
