I have decided to run the marathon this year for a number of reasons, but the main one being to raise some money for Debra. Having first hand experience for many years, on two different continents, of what the funds raised by Debra do, I thought it was high time I gave something back. My daughter suffers from dystrophic EB, and whilst she is now a grown up, she is still well supported by a dedicated care team that is only possible as a result of the great work that Debra do. 

There are no words to describe what having EB is like, and my daughter is the bravest person in the world to me. Despite dealing with what she does everyday, I still class us/her as lucky, as I know that there are people out there that are far worse off than she is. 

The work Debra do is crucial to ongoing research along with day to day care, support and rest bite for those who live with it everyday. I ask that you dig deep for this amazing cause and help me achieve my personal ambition to survive the marathon!
