Mum and I went on holiday every year to Italy and she always looked forward to visiting family and old friends. She particularly loved spending time in Lucca, Tuscany and said that it was her favourite place. This is why I have chosen to walk the ancient walls of Lucca in memory of my beautiful mum.

Sadly mum was no longer able to go on holiday due to illness and passed away on 14th August 2015  after being diagnosed with mesothelioma.

It was absolutely heart-breaking for me to see Mum’s health deteriorate so quickly. I am still very angry about how much she suffered as a result of the mesothelioma. It was awful to watch as Mum wasted away and not being able to do anything about it.

I know by helping CAA that I am doing something to help others like my mum and families who are living with mesothelioma.
