I will be running the Brighton half marathon on the 28th February and then 1 week later the Paris half marathon on the 6th March - with a 7 month old baby this is not to be taken lightly! I will be running for a charity very close to my friends' and family's hearts - Encompass....

In 2002 Daniel Braden, one of my best friends big brother was killed in a terrorist attack in Bali. "Not because of who he was. But because, to the bombers, he was just one more representative of a set of values that they despised and did not understand". (Daniels' Mum and Dad - Mandy and Alex)

Daniel's family went on to set up Encompass in 2003 and Daniels' story has been at the heart of all the incredible work that they have committed themselves to ever since.

"The Encompass Trust was founded on the principle that when people truly understand each other, one to one, prejudice and hatred give way to bonds of friendship which transcend political and religious divides.This
principle has been proved time and again since the trust was founded in
2003."

Encompass works with young people from five countries to enable
dialogue, community cohesion and opportunities to engage in
life-changing community projects. Encompass runs international and UK programmes that challenge stereotypes and build trust between diverse communities - tackling the factors that can lead to isolation and hate crime and act as a catalyst for long term change.

Now is my chance to raise some money for Encompass and in Daniels' memory. So please donate anything that you can to become a part of this amazing charity and I promise I will run as fast as I can!
