Story

A close friend and I are walking a half marathon around Salisbury and Stonehenge on 12th September 2020 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. It is estimated that one person every three minutes will develop the syndrome according to the Alzheimer’s Society and more than a quarter of people who died with coronavirus in March and April in England and Wales had dementia.

My chosen charity are attempting to change the landscape of dementia. Until a cure is found, they want to create a society where those affected by this awful disease are supported and accepted in their community and are able to live without facing prejudice or fear.

If you find yourself in a position to donate to this worthy cause any donation big or small will be massively appreciated, so please give what you can. Thank you!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
