Story

BIG YELLOW FRIDAY (www.bigyellowfriday.org) is CLDF's national fundraising day.

It's a day of yellow themed fun and fundraising to help people affected by childhood liver disease.

Why we need Big Yellow Friday?

20 Children a week are diagnosed in the UK with a life-threatening  Childhood liver disease, which is currently more than those diagnosed with Childhood leukaemia.  There are over 100 different childhood liver diseases and they have no cure. Childhood liver disease means a lifetime of care & in most cases a liver transplant.

We'd never heard of it before our son was born with it, but have had to get up to speed very quickly!!

CLDF have been invaluable in supporting us through a very tough time & they will continue to help Blair as he grows older. So we want to help them with their fundraising, so they can help support other families like ours, fund research into childhood liver diseases & raise awareness of the disease, so that it can be diagnosed early.

CLDF picks up the pieces and makes a real difference:
CLDF responds immediately to a family’s first needs for information, advice and support
CLDF helps families to adjust to life with liver disease – in person, by phone or online
CLDF provides the opportunity to meet other families
CLDF informs and supports friends & relatives
CLDF provides a tailored young persons programme
CLDF manages a research programme
CLDF creates awareness of childhood liver disease

Every £1 makes a difference, so your help is greatly appreciated :-)

Thankyou so much for your support

Lots of love, Julie, Keith & Blair xxx
