Story
We'd never ask you to do anything that we wouldn't do ourselves, which is why our Fundraising Team has signed up to take on our Red Runners virtual running challenge! We've chosen from 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon distances.
The cancellation of mass participation events has meant that our our charity has seen a huge reduction in fundraising from these challenges. Your support has never been needed more and we'd love it if you could kindly sponsor us. Every donation puts a big smile on our face :)
£25 - could buy a specialist v-shaped support pillow to help keep mums comfortable at the bedside when their baby is being treated in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
£50 - could pay for relaxing lullabies to be sung for an hour to new-born babies, or to women in labour.
£100 - will help to buy specialist breast pumps for use by mums having to stay in hospital with their premature babies. These pumps help to stimulate milk development when babies arrive much earlier than anticipated.
£500 - could pay for a Handheld Oximeter on our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This non-invasive device monitors oxygen levels in a new-born’s blood and can detect severe infections or heart conditions that would be life-threatening if not identified.
From everyone on the Fundraising
Team, thank you for supporting Birmingham Women's Hospital Charity.
P.S If you'd like to join our team and take on your own distance, you can register at https://bwhc.realbuzzevents.com and help us do more for our sick kids.
