We are The People Team from Buzzworks (Carole, Nik, Louise, Vivien & Cara)

We have decided to challenge ourselves in the month of May to raise money for a charity very close to us all, Hospitality Action.

We were inspired by the amazing work others are doing across the world to name only a few, The 50K May challenge in aid of becoming a step closer to finding a cure for MS and The 50k May trek, to raise funds for Mental Health UK.

As a team our community challenge for this year was to complete a walk from our Central Support Office in Kilmarnock Ayrshire to our beautiful venue Scott’s in Port Edgar this is a total of 66 miles (106km). Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we have decided to complete this total distance individually by walking, running or cycling, we will then pool our distances together to reach our target by 31st May 2020.

As mentioned above we are completing this challenge in aid of Hospitality Action, our charity of the year. This charity was established in 1837 and has since offered vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within the hospitality industry in the UK. The charity supports all challenges from physical illness or mental health issues to financial difficulty, family problems to addiction.

Now more than ever the people team want to do our bit to raise money and give back to this fantastic charity who continue to support all of our wonderful teams.

We would LOVE to raise £1 for every 1km we complete a total of £106.
