Story

On June 24th 2012 the Workforce Unlimited girls - Maria, Laura and Keelie, and Maria's Dad Mick, will be digging out their cycling shorts and dusting down their push bikes ready to takle the 33 miles along the riverbanks from Lincoln to Boston to raise much needed funds for the Butterfly Hospice in Boston.

This year Workforce Unlimited (Employment Agency) will be sponsoring the cycle ride and have donated two mountain bikes (1 adult and 1 child) to be raffled off on the day at the Witham Tavern.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Butterfly Hospice shop on Emery Lane in Boston. Other shops selling tickets will be announced soon.

Christine, the landlady of the Witham Tavern, in Boston is busy organising the biggest finish line to date with a Family Fun Day and barbecue and Endeavour Radio will also follow the cycle ride live throughout the whole day.

Butterfly Hospice:

After eleven years of hard work, fundraising and support from local communities, businesses and hundreds of volunteers, the Trust has reached a critical milestone in this exciting project. The hospice building was opened by the Princess Royal on 11th April 2011.

Our aim continues to be the provision of in-patient care in a specialist medically controlled environment. However, the Trust has to overcome a significant funding challenge and develop the infrastructure the hospice will need, before we can deliver and sustain the quality service we intend to provide.

Many Thanks
