Butler Jazz, Josephine Butler's very own jazz band, are challenging ourselves to our most epic venture yet- to make and produce music in just 72 hours whilst in isolation! Nothing, not even a pandemic, can stop our music! Starting on Wednesday 1st July at 10am and finishing Saturday 4th July 10am.

OUR CHALLENGE: Individual band members will learn, practice and record their own parts at home using just their phones, all the parts will be combined to produce one full piece of music in just 72 hours! There is a twist- we will be recording a BRAND NEW SONG, just to make it a real challenge!

Our challenge is in aid of supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement. We are fundraising for Show Racism the Red Card, the UK’s largest anti-racism educational charity, which improves and provides education on the causes and consequences of racism with the goal to eliminate racism from society. Education is key to fighting social injustice, which is why we have chosen to support Show Racism the Red Card.
