Its Glioblastoma Awareness Day! 🧠
Glioblastoma is an aggressive brain cancer that can affect anyone
at any age. It a terrible diagnosis for any family to receive. I know because my super sister was diagnosed 2 ½ years ago after she had a terrible headache. In the past 2 years she has had surgery, chemo & radiation. She’s been a miracle!
Unfortunately, we learned last week that her tumour has returned. She will start a clinical trial that is super sci-fi-y (a chemo drip directly into her brain for 5 days!) We are so incredibly lucky that brilliant
scientists and doctors are researching glioblastoma and continuing to try to find a way to help people survive more than a few months after diagnosis. They have given us hope!
