Story
Save the UK's Charities!
General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly.
This is no less true for SensationALL, a small, Aberdeenshire charity that supports children and adults living with multiple needs or disabilities by providing therapy-based activities and services for them and their whole family.
This Sunday 26th of April, the day the London Marathon would have taken place, supporters of SensationALL are undertaking various at-home (socially distanced!) activities connected to 2.6 or 26.
The Burnett family (Kevin, Valery, Jack, Jamie and Finlay) have decided to take a team approach; we will dead lift a 30 kg bar bell 174 times each which, cumulatively, will be equivalent to lifting 26 tonnes. This will be shared equally between us and we would greatly appreciate any support you can give to motivate and encourage us!
More importantly, your donation will be fundraising for SensationALL who rapidly responded to the challenges of the impact of COVID-19 by creatively modifying and adapting their therapy- based activities to ensure they can continue to provide much needed intervention and input in these difficult times for those who rely on their support.
Every little counts and we will be delighted and motivated by any contribution you give.
Thank you!
