Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have exciting news...on the 18th July 2014 I will be putting all my fears of heights aside and skydiving. That’s right… I will be throwing myself out of a plane at 12,000ft to raise money for ACLT A lot of people may think I have gone completely bonkers. Tbh I’m absolutely S****** myself at the mere thought of jumping out of a plane...LOL
BUT....as
a lot of you may know my sisters 1 year anniversary is on the approach and I
wanted to mark this very day by doing something completely insane, And in her
honour This is my way of continuing her legacy. ACLT is one of the many
charities that is very close to our families hearts. My sister Bengu
fought an amazing and courageous 4 year battle with Leukaemia. Putting that
aside, She tirelessly fundraised, volunteered, raised alot of awareness,
Campaigned. And was all for saving lives. Sadly she’s not here with us
today. She passed away last year on the 18th July 2013 from pneumonia,
following a bone marrow transplant.
One of my sisters wishes was for when she recovered that she wanted us as a family to help to raise money for all the charities that helped and supported her throughout her journey. So as she is no longer here with us today, we as a family would like to continue her legacy by doing something for charity each year. This is why I have decided to do this jump!
Now moving on to ACLT and my reasons for why I have chosen to fundraise for them....
ACLT is a charity that raises awareness about the importance of registering as potential bone marrow and blood donor, their work will enable worldwide donor searches on behalf of Black, Mixed Race, Asian and all Ethnic Minority patients. They were one of the charities that helped Bengu organise her campaign and donor drives that took place a year and a half ago in north and south east London. They did the presentations and organised all the spit kits to be readily available to get more people on the register.

So I hope that me throwing myself out of a plane at 12,000ft and plummeting towards the grounds at the speeds of over 120mph screaming my arse off hahaha with sheer horror in my face may help to raise some funds for this honestly fantastic and worthy organisation.
So come on people dig deep.... and help me by sponsoring me, so us together as a team can help to save some more lives....
Many thanks
