Staff and residents at The Bupa Care Home will be hosting a Big Pink Party where the Home Manager will Brave The Shave to help support those affected by Breast Cancer.
The Lindsay Care Home will be opening their doors to welcome friends, families, colleagues and the community for Big Fat Pink Party where the Home Manager will shave her head on Friday 2nd November 2018.
To mark the event, everyone at the home will be wearing something pink; pink wigs, pink trousers pink socks, pink leg warmers.. you get the idea; as they raise money by selling pink cakes and pink champagne. There will also be afternoon tea, raffles and much more.
Claudia Carvell, Home Manager says; "Breast Cancer Care is a charity that is not only very personal to myself, but also to many of the staff and residents here at The Lindsay Care Home. Many of us have been touched in some way by Breast Cancer, or lost a loved on to this terrible disease. Raising money for this great cause is a fantastic way to not only engage our residents in meaningful activities but also bring the community together for an amazing cause.
Breast Cancer Care is the only specialist UK wide charity providing support for women, men, family and friends affected by breast cancer. They’ve been caring for them, supporting them, and campaigning on their behalf since 1973.
Today, Breast Cancer Care continue to offer a unique range of support including reliable information, one-to-one support over the phone and online from nurses and people who’ve been there. They also offer local group support across the UK.
From the moment someone notices something isn’t right, through to their treatment and beyond. They are there to help people affected by breast cancer feel more in control.
