Thank you so much to everyone who supported our concert last September. We are delighted that the Amersham Music Festival have given us the opportunity to raise some more funds for UNICEF with a repeat performance at Amersham St Mary’s Church on Sunday 23rd of April starting at 2:30pm. Having exceeded our first fundraising target - we’ve set a higher second target to encourage your support.

Thank you so much for supporting us! The concert takes place on Sunday 25th of September at 4pm at St. Mary’s Church, Wendover HP22 6NL. The concert is expected to last about 2 hours with an interval with drinks and cakes available!
We are not issuing tickets for the event but instead ask that you make a contribution on this page or in person on the day.
Emma Harrington, Jude Kayakiran and Lucy Howitt have organised this event, and are delighted to have guests Thomas Harrington, Iris Kayakiran and Jozef Hatton.
The program consists of classical music and opera arias, and includes extracts from Chopin’s piano concerto no. 2, Bach’s double violin concerto, the Flower Duet by Delibes and many more!
Emma (voice, Royal Academy of Music), has recently sung the lead in Dido and Aeneas, performed in Jenufa by Janacek as Jano, and has won many competitions around Buckinghamshire.
Jude (diploma-level pianist), has won prizes in competitions and performed solo across Buckinghamshire. He plays first violin and viola in several orchestras, including BCYO and Chiltern Music Academy.
Lucy (harp, Royal Academy) won 2021 Bucks Young Musician of the Year as well as being a part of National Children’s Orchestra.
Thomas is an accomplished pianist, clarinettist and composer, playing in both Bucks County Youth Orchestra and Bucks Youth Wind Ensemble. Iris, who also performed solo in Dido and Aeneas, plays trumpet and violin in several jazz bands and orchestras. Joseph is the senior first violinist in Bucks County Youth Orchestra.
Conflict is escalating in Ukraine, putting millions of children and their families in immediate danger.More than half a million children in Ukraine are already affected as the conflict in the east of the country enters its eighth year. Homes, schools, water supplies and hospitals are damaged. Landmines pose a major threat to childrens lives.UNICEF is especially concerned for the safety and wellbeing of children who have become separated from their families.UNICEF has been working around the clock to keep children safe since this conflict began eight years ago. We are helping to make sure that child health and protection services are sustained and families have clean water and nutritious food. Please donate to help protect children in Ukraine.
