Firstly, a HUGE THANK YOU for your support and donations.

Everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE TALKING - and LOUDLY! So, managing to keep my mouth firmly shut for twelve hours will truly be a challenge. And, no doubt made even harder with all the teams at Harrogate Volkswagen who will probably take lots of pleasure in trying to get me chatting throughout the day! 

I ALSO LOVE LEARNING, and I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have a learning disability, so this is why I want to help raise money and awareness for Mencap. I want people with learning disabilities to have every opportunity to have a better life.

My silence is on Wednesday 14th, but from the 12-16th November, everyone at Harrogate VW will be taking part in the Mencap Big Tea Party event and each team will be competing to raise the most money for this brilliant charity. There will be lots going on including 'GUNGE THE MANAGER' on the 16th. Can't wait!

However, this SPONSORED SILENCE is part of my challenge and contribution to the event, along with helping to organise the party, and film and edit a video. So I am resolute - I WILL SUCCEED!

However, here's a 'just in case'. If the teams make my life so difficult that something inadvertantly pops out of my mouth (which it won't because it will be taped up) I will put myself up for GUNGING, along with the unfortunate Manager who gets the most votes, on Friday 16th November by the VW team. This is the deal people, so all your donations, no matter what, can still go to Mencap.
