They work with medical professionals to provide information that is reliable and evidence based and fund vital research into thyroid disease. Support is offered through direct contact and peer groups via Facebook and groups within local communities. British Thyroid Foundation rely on donations and fundraising so by supporting me you will helping them.
Why this charity?
My wife Sarah spent several years suffering from Hyperthyroidism and in 2022 underwent surgery for a total thyroidectomy (removal of the thyroid). Information on the BTF website was invaluable and of great comfort leading up to the day of surgery and post operation.
In spring 2022 I discovered a lump on my neck and in April was diagnosed with a multinodular goitre. Again the BTF website provided me with concise information that put to bed the majority worries I had before and after prognosis.
We have both benefited from just a fraction of the work that BTF do. Donations will help this charity continue their work in providing information and supporting those affected by thyroid disorders.
