Story
On Friday 10th May 2019, BSS will be coordinating the first BSS Inter Company Karting Challenge Cup
The format of the event will be a 3-hour endurance race, with preliminary qualifying laps for pole position beforehand. Each team must consist of ideally 4 drivers and a minimum number of driver changes will be required during the 3 hours. The winning team will be the one that completes the most laps over the 3-hour period. Normal track driving penalties for dangerous driving will apply. Each driver MUST be a verified employee of the company entering.
As a charity event, we are kindly asking each company for a donation of £100. We hope that you will see this as not only great value but an equally great opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause. The cost of the event has been paid for by BSS and some of our most valued suppliers. An unlimited barbecue will be provided F.O.C by BSS for all participants throughout the evening with soft drinks available. The intention is that all drivers should arrive no later than 5.15pm for a pre-race briefing, with the event ending around 9.30pm.
The track is limited to 20 karts, so we will have to accept the commitment of the first 20 teams that email their wish to enter. We have already had several companies that have said they definitely wish to take part, so we would encourage you to confirm your entry as soon as possible. Final entries must however be confirmed no later than 18th April 2019.
The Ellough track is fast and challenging with excellent quality karts to allow you to demonstrate your skill on the track to the full. We will ensure that press photographers are in attendance to capture the winning team as they shower the vanquished with champagne from the winner’s podium. The evening will also however provide you with a great opportunity to network amongst other colleagues in the industry during the periods that you are not driving. Most of all however, we know that this will be an incredibly enjoyable and exciting event which will continue to be discussed by all that take part months afterwards. We would encourage you not to miss out, but to register your interest to enter a team by emailing me as soon as possible.
