Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) will be undertaking a series of workshops over the next few months. The BSMS team, led by Professor Claire Smith, is able to do this thanks to an amazing woman who has donated her body to help the public understand the human form and physiology processes in both health and disease – especially related to cancer.

Each workshop will focus on a different area of the body, exploring how cancer affected our donor’s body whilst also covering the normal anatomy of the body.

A team of expert anatomists, surgeons and clinicians will take around 75 medical and healthcare students on this journey of exploration.

These workshops will raise money for our donor’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
