Story
I have decided to challenge myself to hula hooping for 13 hours over 7 days in order to raise money for Bristol Against Cancer. I feel we all have been touched by cancer in some way whether it be a friend or neighbour and the hospitals constantly need funding to improve their services to those affected. Last year my mother developed cancer and I know that the NHS did an amazing job in looking after her and this is one small way I feel I can give back.
Safe to say, I am not a hula hooping pro..I used to enjoy trying it years ago but it has not been on my fitness agenda for a long while. Therefore this is going to take some building up to (sorry core!) to hopefully achieve roughly 2 hours a day over 7 days.
Your support would be greatly appreciated and will really make a difference to those living with cancer. Thank you!
I've created this page because I want to support Above & Beyond's Bristol Against Cancer campaign, and raise money to help make cancer care in Bristol the best it can be.My challenge is based around the number 13,000, recognising the 13,000 dedicated NHS staff working across our hospitals. Today, like every day, 2,500 new patients will take their first steps through the doors of one of Bristol city centre hospitals. For many of these patients, their journey through the hospitals will be one of the hardest of their lives. I believe every single one of them deserves the best possible treatment and wanted to fundraise to support this campaign. Please help me by giving what you can using the 'Donate' button and sharing my fundraiser with your friends and family.
