Story
I don’t regard myself as a runner, however If the definition of runner includes running 3 times a week for the last year at 6am through sun, rain, snow, wind and ice, oh and the dark, then I guess I am.
I was running for me, for fitness, and for time to switch off, but I was also training for the Bath half marathon that has been cancelled three times. That should be happening in October, In the meantime one of my clients asked me if I’d run the GNR for her charity DEBRA, and I couldn’t think of a good reason to say no. So all a bit last minute I’ve had to up the miles and am hoping for an enjoyable run.
DEBRA only have 2 runners (I’m one of them) so I’m hoping to make an impact and help them with their fundraising. Anything you can support is gratefully received, no amount is too small.
DEBRA is the national charity supporting those directly affected by, and working with, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering. DEBRA provides lifelong care and support to the entire EB community.Together we #FightEB and together we will beat EB.
