Story
Hi Guys
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday the 23rd of May. I am running in memory of my Granda - Gus Ferguson B.E.M. My Granda passed away suddenly on the 27th of December 2009 from a diabetes-related heart attack, and as such I am raising money for Diabetes UK Scotland.
Diabetes UK Scotland help and campaign for people living with diabetes, and fund research. They support people living with diabetes, work with healthcare professionals, raise awareness, raise money, and work with other organisations to make the lives of those diagnosed with diabetes a lot better.
My Granda was a very important part of my life, and supported me in everything that I did. He always motivated me to succeed and be the best person I could be, and I miss him terribly. I feel that setting myself the challenge of completing the Edinburgh Marathon, and raising money for a charity to help others, is a fitting tribute to him and I think he will be very proud of me when I cross that finish line.
