Story
Farleigh Hospice exists to meet the needs of local people in the Chelmsford area, where I live, affected by life limiting illnesses and to support those who have been bereaved.
A lot of people think that hospices only care for people with cancer, but this is not the case at all. A person affected by any illness that is considered life limiting (e.g. cancer, neurological disease, chronic heart , lung and renal disease) can access the services provided by Farleigh Hospice at any stage of their illness.
Farleigh Hospices services are free of charge and with only approx 40% of funding from the local NHS they need to raise £7750 through voluntary funding each day to carry on caring.
Both my nan and more recently my uncle suffered from Cancer and depended on the services and care offered by Farleigh. They also gave amazing support to my family. Its for that reason I feel running a marathon and raising my target of £2000 in sponsorship is the very least I can
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation!
Please keep an eye on this page for updates on my training and other events my brother James and I will be arranging to help us reach our target of £4000 in total.
