Face the freeze and take an icy plunge to end homelessness

Story

I'm Bryan, and I am facing the freeze everyday this winter to help fight homelessness.

That means 90 consecutive days embracing the freezing cold water to help raise money for Crisis, so that they can focus on helping the homeless with food, supplies, shelter and most importantly giving them hope again.

We should all have a place to call home, whatever the month, weather or situation...

Unfortunately, this is not the case across the UK, with thousands of people without a home this winter.

The winter in the UK, could be fatal for someone on the streets.

Crisis are running a fundraiser called DIY Icebreaker, where they ask participants to 'Face the Freeze this winter, to help end homelessness.'

They ask that those participating in the cold water challenge, be it a shower, swim or any other way to get chilly. They ask you do it every day for ONE month during the coldest months of the year, from 1 December to 28 February.

I pledge to go one step further and promise to take a cold shower, outdoor swim or dip EVERYDAY between 1 December - 28 February

That is a total of 90 days in a row. (or 3 Months).- Plus I have been training now for nearly 4 weeks so that I am not putting myself in immediate danger and risk.

I will be documenting my dips and putting updates on this page, as well as the time spent in the water. (Not that time is a focus, you should never force or compete with the cold, but for anyone interested, I will be logging my times.)

I'll also be attempting to vary the spots I do my daily CHILLenges across South West Wales.
(If you know of a good spot, please let me know, I will try to do it.)

Some days it may have to be the hosepipe outside, others, the sea, a waterfall or quarry. I will let the creativity flow!

The target funds are set to £1000, and over three months I have faith we can do it, even if you cannot donate, please share.

If 100 people, friends, family, supporters donate £10, the target is reached. But it is not about the amount it is about support for a cause.

This year has been hard for everyone, so please do not donate if you cannot afford it. Only donate what you can and ANYTHING is appreciated, and will make a huge difference.

To everyone that donates, shares or takes part, THANK YOU!

You will be making a difference to someone in the UK who is homeless.
