My gorgeous friend Penni received news we all dread a couple of years ago, and subsequently underwent treatment for cancer. Thankfully the treatment did what it was supposed to do and Penni is now cancer free and back to her lovely self. One of the things that helped Penni get through that difficult period was the care and support from her dedicated Macmillan nurse. And, no better way to repay and say thanks for that support, but to raise as much money as possible for the charity. 

Which is where myself and approximately 20 other lucky people come into play. Penni has asked, persuaded, threatened (you get the gist) us to join the team, cycle a ridiculous 180 miles and help raise as much money as possible, so that Macmillan can continue to do their amazing work, and help many many more people get through what I can only imagine is one of the most difficult times in their life.
