Story
Why run a marathon when you can run a 100k ultra marathon instead?
Yes, I have decided to go from a half marathon (13.1 miles) to an ultra marathon (62.1 miles).
On the weekend of the 11th & 12th of June I will be running, the full 100k route over two days, in the Race to the King across the South Downs. This is an Ultra steeped in history and starting and finishing at the iconic Goodwood Racecourse. Two equal, but very different loops in the South of England with a variety of terrain and stunning landscapes that will challenge and inspire in equal measure!
This is a massive step up for me and one that I am determined to do and hopefully raise as much money for Make-A-Wish UK as possible.
Make-A-Wish® UK creates life-changing wishes that revive the childhood that critical illness takes away, bringing light and joy at the darkest of times for a child and their loved ones. But right now, there are 60,000 children in the UK living with a critical condition, and they don’t have the resources to be that light for everyone. Your generous support will help them step closer to achieving their vision: to grant a wish to every eligible child. Together, we have the power to light up the darkness.
Anything you can give will be greatly received and really help me knowing every step counts.
Thank you
