Story
We ride together as a group of friends "The Tuesday boys" as we rather unfamously refer to ourselves, to ride in memory of Ceri Arlett who was taken from Neil, his family and the world too early with heart failure. No one should have to go through the pain of watching a loved one slip away while powerless to help.
We intend to put our legs to work cycling the London to Brighton 2024 ride in her memory and for the BHF, to raise as much as we can to help prevent as many others as possible from being taken before their time from heart related issues.
The BHF is also close to my heart, if you will forgive the pun, and helped me come to terms with my own heart issues with brilliant knowledgable specalist nurses able to support and explain complicated, and at times scary diagnoses.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
