Heart disease has been a big problem in my family: I've lost and worried about too many people as a result of it to ignore the possibility it might affect me in the future. So this bike ride will help me remember those I've lost, celebrate those who are fighting fit, and, hopefully, help protect my own little ticker in the future. And, importantly, it will hopefully raise a bit of money to support the fabulous work that the British Heart Foundation does to research, fight and educate around heart disease.
