Story

A group of 8 family and friends are taking part in Blood Sweat & Tears Extreme 10k Obstacle race on Saturday 22nd November in order to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association  in memory of Tony Casey who was a gentleman,  a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who sadly passed away on 25th August 2014.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a horrible progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This results in weakness and wasting of the muscles.  MND can affect the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.

There is currently no cure for MND.  Much needed funds are essential to facilitate research into this horrific disease so that a cure can one day be found and that there will be sufficient for support people suffering from the disease and their families.

We would like to thank you in advance for your kind donations, it means a lot to us and we know it would have meant a lot to Tony too

Norah, Nuala, Carol, Ciara, Pearse, Barry, Claire & Bronagh
