Story

The Brompton Academy PE Department will be taking part in the 2.6 Challenge by running 260 miles in 26 days. We are fundraising for the Evelina London Children's Hospital (Guys and St Thomas' Charity) to support the staff there who are working tirelessly during this pandemic.

We will be posting proof of our runs on our social media pages - Instagram and Twitter - @bromptonacademype as well as our Just Giving Page.

We appreciate any donation however big or small as every little helps and would love you to get behind us for this amazing cause.

A bit more about the Evelina Children's Hospital;

At Evelina London we treat children and young adults from across South London and south-east England.

As demand increases for our local healthcare services and national specialist clinical care, it's more important than ever to be able to fund new equipment, train staff and invest in innovative research programmes. We rely on your generous donations to provide life-saving care to more children, and support for their families.

The staff in their hospitals have been on the frontline of this coronavirus crisis from day one, going above and beyond on every shift to save lives.

Your donation to help #KeepUsAllGoing during this outbreak will support the wellbeing of the amazing staff in their hospitals throughout the coronavirus crisis. From assisting those facing financial hardship, to providing vital training and educational support for those treating patients infected by the virus.

Save the UK's Charities!

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
